FCA has engaged with RCC’s NC3 certified facility as part of their Mopar CAP Local project to train 1,000 student/technicians annually.

“NC3 couldn’t be more pleased with the successful local partnerships being formed between FCA US and NC3 leadership schools,” said Roger Tadajewski, the executive director of NC3. “With 26 schools launched since last July, the pipeline of technician talent to local dealerships is well underway across the nation.”

For RCC students pursuing automotive training, the ability to earn nationally recognized credentials and gain internships in local FCA dealerships provides many opportunities to advancing their careers. RCC offers an AAS in Automotive Technology and 15 Snap-On Industrial Certifications at the new hi-tech facility (27,304 square-feet) which includes five classrooms, a certification room and a Snap-On Certified Lab with 10 lifts. Students are prepared to work immediately after attaining the degree or can continue their education for a bachelor’s degree.

Formed in 2014 through the merger of Fiat (founded in 1899) and Chrysler (founded in 1925), FCA is currently the seventh-largest automaker in the world.

The National Coalition of Certification Centers, (NC3) is a network of education providers and corporations who develop and sustain industry recognized standards for technical training in the transportation (and energy, aviation and more) fields. Their certificates provide credentials with national recognition.
